So this is it!!! Saturday night was the big night. The long anticipated feature fashion show. Though there were a few other shows that were going on that weekend, the Saturday night show which was held at The Union Station downtown, offered viewers a real treat. Special guest designer Laura Kathleen from Project Runway All-Stars showed everyone just why she is an all star designer with her fabulous self-titled collection. Anyone from the area knows that The Union Station is a Kansas City landmark rich in fascinating history, and is still beautiful after 100 years. During KCFW it is transformed into a runway show that could rival other shows in places like Milan, and Paris. Just like last year, this show did not disappoint as models strutted down the runway showcasing this season's unique looks.

When it comes to opulence, fine details, and grandeur Union Station has it all. It's no wonder why this elaborate grand hall area makes for a prime location to host a fashion show. It's beauty gets me every time I visit fashion show or no fashion show.

What I love about these designs is that they are crisp, innovative, and definitely represents the woman of today.

This bridal line from the ByWhitney Collection was absolutely stunning. Vera Wang I love you, but you may have some fierce some fierce competition!!!
If your looking to bring out your more edgier side then House of Cochon is right for you. For me this mix of dark, abstract designing was art in motion.

I really do love Project Runway, so I was really excited in seeing the collection by Laura Kathleen from the All-Stars edition of the series. I especially loved this basic peplum dress which is perfect for an after five event or dinner date.

It was about 10:15 when the show finally ended, and though Kansas City Fashion Week had one more day to go, it was the end for me this period. I left the show even more elated than last year especially since this time around I was attending as first time blogger. Despite some technical difficulties, getting lost once, and a minor wardrobe incident I still enjoyed everything I was able to partake in during KCFW, and look forward to what's in store this coming fall. In the mean time, and in between times I'm signing out for now. Stay fabulous!!!
