On day two of my coverage of Kansas City Fashion Week, I attended the Designer Trunk Show and Presentation which was held at the AIA Office Event Space in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri this past Friday night. Still in complete awe from the previous night, I was more than eager to see this special presentation. Even more exciting was the fact that my favorite instructor from the Art Institute, Christina Moncke, was presenting her line called Architexture in KCFW.
If there was one good way for me to describe what it was like at the trunk show well.....Imagine being at the mall during Black Friday minus the obnoxious attitudes, and everyone was dressed rather chicly while looking through racks of the latest in what fashion has to offer. It was literally one of those "pinch me is this real" moments as I shook hands and hugged people I have never met before while they explained to me the concepts of their current collections. The coolest part about the Trunk Show was that not only could you get a sneak peak of their newest collections before the fashion shows, but you could also purchase items from the previous season. Of course being a natural born shopaholic I had to exercise a level of restraint to keep myself from buying out the whole place. However I did get plenty of satisfaction from browsing through the racks, and snapping photos of these lovely garments.

I had the pleasure of meeting another fellow makeup artist named Kandi Elise Tyner of Eye Kandi Kosmetics as she gave a demonstration of how to do a sexy smoky eye.
This was the end result of that demonstration. Anyone who know me is well aware that when it comes to makeup, I am all about playing up the eyes. This particular look is very versatile going from 9-5 to after 5.
After meeting everyone, and taking in all of fabulous designs it was time to call it a night. Just when I thought KCFW couldn't get any better, the Trunk Show proved me wrong. Now I was really ready for Saturday night's fashion show. Hang with me, I'm not done yet!!!
