In the past two years of doing this blog, I have had many exciting moments, met some very interesting people as well as blessed to able to attend some very lovely events. For me overall, nothing surpasses Kansas City Fashion Week. Thursday night's designers showed us how they were able to push fashion to the very edge of mystery and drama. Friday night was all about avant-garde couture with subtle hints of historical fashion references from previous centuries. It was like getting a history lesson while taking a glimpse into the future at the same time.

I really love My Heirloom Bridal, because the designs go far beyond your ordinary wedding looks or even what is now trending in bridal gowns. To me, the overall look of soft innocence, and purity reminded me of actress Mary Pickford during her heyday in the early 1900's and 20's.
Present. By Rachel Anne Gottlieb Kansas City, MO

I actually had the privilege of meeting this awesome designer a few years ago. She has an awesome down-to-earth personality coupled with a designing talent that is out of this world. Rachel Anne Gottlieb's Present line is definitely the epitome of breaking the rules.
Kiana Godsey Overland Park,KS

What I saw in Kiana Godsey's Fall/Winter Evening Collection were hints of the gaiety of the Baroque Period in Europe during the 17th & 18th Centuries. Minus the over-the-top detailing, prominent colors of black and regal gold which were common during those periods are clearly presented in this collection.
Michael Drummond St. Louis,MO

What I love the most about Michael Drummond design aesthetic is how he manages to transform his garments into wearable canvases with details that celebrate the human body.
Lauren Bander St. Louis,MO

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the latest collection of evening wear by Lauren Bander was Queen Isabella of Spain in modern 2016. Sophisticated, exotic and every bit romantic.
Paulie Gibson St. Louis,MO

In Paulie Gibson's latest menswear collection, you get a little bit of everything from structured business wear to casual comfort.

This evening wear collection is by Madison LaRae Durant of Stover, Missouri and get this...SHE'S ONLY 15!!!
