There are many reasons why I adore the month of October. That sweet smell of Autumn air, pumpkin spice..well everything, and this year Kansas City Fashion Week! This season I got to view some of the most wonderful design concepts for Spring/Summer 2017. The people of Kansas City Fashion Week are truly an amazing team for helping to showcase the best Kansas City Fashion has to offer. Each season they seem to outdo themselves with their magnificent events, charitable contributions, choice of designers as well as showmanship with each showcase.
Lauren Victoria Swim with EarKandie! Poparazzi Inspired Jewelry
It may have been cool outside, but inside Union Station things were certainly heating up when designers Lauren Hulen of Lauren Victoria Swim and Bosede Iyewarun of EarKandie! Poparazzi Inspired Jewelry made a huge splash with hot swimwear and jewelry.

Eltee by Laura Talken
This collection by Eltee screams sophisticated elegance while remaining simple at the same time. And of course I just adore a little sparkle!

The "Wow" factor was soon switched to the "Cute" factor when designers T. Michelle and Irina Tevzadze showed us all how to up the ante with kids wear.

Lucia's Sarto by Natalia Meyer
When I first met Nataliya Meyer, I met a very lovely person with one of the most illuminating personalities I have ever seen. And it's that illuminating personality that seems to even exude through every remarkable dress she create within her Lucia's Sarto line.

Annmann Designs
My first experience with Annmann Designs was at West 18th Street Fashion Show this past June, and all I can say is that these designs are truly a work of art.

LaRae Fashions
When I think back to when I was 16 years old, I was just discovering my love for the fashion industry as well as designing. At just 16 years old Madison LaRae Durant is already ahead of the game like a seasoned pro with her label LaRae Fashions. I mean just look at the attention to detail, and flawless construction. The talent this young woman has is impeccable.

Atelier Samosi
This season of KCFW was a special treat for me as this was the first time that I got to see an international designer present in person. Her name is Nino Patarkalashvili, and she is the lead designer of Atelier Samosi. I became instantly captivated by the rich jewel tone colors, and almost Baroque-like feel of the designs.

This may sound a bit weird, but the last showcase of KCFW always reminds me of the times I would come home for the holidays when I was in college. I would have such a wonderful time hanging out with friends and family, and when it was time for me to return It felt like time rushed by so quickly. I didn't want it to end. Even still, I was always excited for future visits even though they were months away. And this is where I leave you for now. Another Kansas City Fashion Week down in the history books. Until March, and for now stay fabulous!!!
